Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
These terms govern the use of the Path And Go mobile application (the “App”), developed and operated by Alan Adrian Vega, domiciled in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, Argentina (the “Owner”). By downloading, installing or using the App you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What Path And Go is
Path And Go is a free wayfinding tool for visitors to Iguazú National Park (Misiones, Argentina). It lets you view a map of the park and its points of interest, calculate walking, train, accessible or driving routes, follow turn-by-turn navigation, check alerts, explore circuits, plan your visit, record the places you discover and share photos.
Path And Go is an independent project. It is not the official app of Argentina’s National Parks Administration or of the park’s concessionaires, and it does not act on their behalf. Place names are used only to identify them.
2. Using the App with or without an account
- You can use the main features as a guest, without signing up.
- To save routes, history and discoveries or to upload photos you need an account, created with your Google account or with a code sent to your email. Authentication is provided by a third-party service (Supabase); the Owner does not store your Google password.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your account and for whatever is done with it. Let us know if you notice any unauthorized use.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need permission from your parent or legal guardian.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account or by writing to us (see section 13). What happens to your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your safety comes first
The App is a wayfinding aid and does not replace the park’s signage, the instructions of rangers and staff, or your own judgment. In particular:
- Always stay on authorized trails and follow the park’s official signs, closures and opening hours.
- Routes, distances and times are estimates. GPS can be inaccurate, especially under the forest canopy or near the falls, and connectivity may fail inside the park.
- Alerts and opening hours shown in the App are for information only and may be out of date. If they differ, the park’s official information prevails.
- The “Accessible” mode shows step-free paths based on the available data, but it does not guarantee that a section is suitable for your particular situation. Ask the park staff.
- Do not use the App while driving. In “By car” mode, set the route before you start or ask a passenger to use it. Obey traffic laws and road signs.
- Pay attention to your surroundings: do not look at your phone while walking on walkways, stairs or near edges.
4. Location
To calculate routes and navigate, the App uses your device’s location, only with your permission. During a navigation you started, it may keep using it with the screen off, showing a persistent notification while it does so. You can revoke the permission at any time in Android settings; without it, some features will not be available.
5. Photos and content you share
- You own the photos you upload and you declare that you took them or have the right to publish them.
- By uploading them, you grant the Owner a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license, for as long as they remain published, to store them, adapt their size and format, and show them to other users within the App and on its communication channels related to Path And Go.
- Photos are moderated before or after publication and may be rejected or removed without notice. Before storing them, the system removes their location metadata.
- It is forbidden to upload content that: shows identifiable people without their consent, especially minors; is violent, sexual, discriminatory or offensive; infringes third-party rights; contains advertising or personal data; or shows dangerous or prohibited behavior in the park (for example, leaving the trails or feeding wildlife).
- If you see inappropriate content, report it by writing to us (section 13).
6. Acceptable use
When using the App you agree not to:
- use it for unlawful purposes or against the park’s rules;
- try to access accounts, data or features that are not yours, or the servers or database outside the App;
- reverse engineer it, extract data in bulk or by automated means, or overload the service;
- fake your location to obtain discoveries or other records;
- impersonate another person or create accounts in bulk.
If you do not comply with these terms, we may suspend or close your account and remove your content.
7. Discoveries and achievements
Discovered places, stamps and achievements are a game to accompany your visit. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed or transferred, and may change or be reset in new versions.
8. Free of charge
The App is free, with no advertising and no in-app purchases. Mobile data usage is at your own expense according to your carrier plan.
9. Intellectual property and third-party content
The design, brand, code and original texts of Path And Go belong to the Owner. We grant you a personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the App on your devices.
The App includes third-party content, which keeps its own licenses:
- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL license.
- Maps and tiles by Mapbox, subject to its terms.
- Photographs from Wikimedia Commons, with the author and license stated on each one.
- Icons from Material Design Icons and Temaki, among others, under their open-source licenses.
10. Availability and changes
We do our best for the App to work well, but it is provided “as is” and may have interruptions, errors or incomplete data. We may add, change or remove features, and also discontinue the service, giving reasonable notice whenever possible.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for damages arising from: decisions you make based on the App’s routes, times, alerts or opening hours; GPS, connectivity or device errors; the condition of the park’s trails, walkways, transport or facilities, which depend on their operators; or content uploaded by other users. None of this limits your rights under Argentina’s Consumer Protection Law No. 24,240.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use it after that date means you accept the new version. The effective date is shown at the top of this page.
13. Contact
For questions, content reports or requests about your account, write to soporte@pathandgo.com.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. In case of any dispute, if you act as a consumer, the courts of your place of residence will have jurisdiction.
